WHAT IS CLOUD COMPUTING? EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT CLOUD COMPUTING

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT CLOUD COMPUTING

What is Cloud Computing?
We store data in the hard drive and run it which is called local storage and computing. But when we store any data or program in the internet and can access it then it's called cloud computing. In order to create a network servers, storage, databases and many more things and their maintenance are required. But it costs a lot. Sometimes one need to create a network for a limited time. In this situation he can use cloud computing services which will help to create a network for a limited time and he can save a lot of money for it. He have to pay for the services he uses and for the time he uses these services. The service providers take care of many issues like security, the daily maintenance of data infrastructure etc.
Models of cloud computing

Cloud computing is divided into two models.
 1. Service model.
2. Deployment model.

Service Models

There are three main service models of cloud computing. They are:
1. Infrastructure as a service
It is a cloud computing service that provides all the infrastructure to support web apps, including storage, web and application servers and networking resources.
2. Platform as a service
It is a cloud computing service that uses virtualization to offer an application development platform to developers or organizations.
3. Software as a service
It is a service that allows users to connect to and used cloud-based apps over the internet.
Deployment Models
There are three main deployment models of cloud computing. They are
1. Public Cloud

2. Private cloud

A private cloud is a service that is completely controlled by a single organization and not shared with others.
3. Hybrid cloud
Hybrid cloud is one in which applications are running in a combination of different environments.
History
The history of cloud computing started in 1960. But it became popular in 2006 when amazon released their "Elastic Compute Cloud" product. After this google also launched their cloud platform in 2008. It was mentioned first in the internal document of Compaq. In 2010, NASA and Rackspace Hosting jointly launched an open-source cloud software named OpenStack. Some years ago, Cloud computing was used by some big companies and now common people use Cloud computing.
POPULAR CLOUD PLATFORMS
Some popular cloud platforms are Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, IBM Cloud, Oracle Cloud, Alibaba Cloud etc.
PROS OF CLOUD COMPUTING
1. The cost is low in cloud computing
2. Convenience.
3. You can access your data from anywhere and anytime. You don't need to carry the whole storage.
4. Of course, it secures your data and programs.
5. Some cloud platform provides unlimited space.
6. You can process your data.
